Founded and led creative development of annual travel calendar concept, transforming playful idea into media-recognized brand that demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities and execute multi-disciplinary creative projects independently.
Role: Creative director, designer, art director, copywriter.
Insight: Travel content was saturated with conventional destination guides - We saw an untapped opportunity for irreverent, design-forward travel publication that combined wanderlust with a playful appreciation of skinny dipping.
My Approach: Identified and validated market opportunity for unconventional travel content, developing concept from initial idea to annual publication. Led end-to-end creative execution serving as designer, art director, and copywriter across all brand touchpoints and content development. Created comprehensive travel experience combining photography, storytelling, practical guides, astronomical data, and nautical mapping for complete user journey. Built sustainable content framework that generated five consecutive annual editions while maintaining editorial quality and brand consistency.
Results: Secured major media coverage including The New York Times, Complex, Village Voice, and Urbandaddy. Established ourselves as leading authority on skinny dipping including press interviews as subject matter experts across multiple publications. Demonstrated entrepreneurial execution from concept ideation through publication, distribution, and media relations.
